I have to say her hubby wins the hubby of the year award… He saw through friends a different Captivated Session of his friend’s wife and admired the focus on Beauty these sessions held.. He wrote me and told me what a wonderful woman Dawn was and that she deserved this session.. I couldn’t agree more… It was a pleasure to meet and spend the afternoon with you Dawn… I hope more Hubbies do this for their wives!!!

The day didn’t look to promising as the rain came pouring down… We really only had one chance to capture these family images…As we texted through the day I said lets still meet at the time we had planned..Thinking if only it is drizzling we can duck into doorways….

I walked into the rehearsal as the rain still came pouring down… discouraged about the family session that was to come in about an hour…The time had come and I cautiously walked out the door to my van… And lo and behold it had stopped raining!!!

So we got on our way as the session was winding down the drops began to fall again….

Just before Easter I took the long drive to my hometown of Steinbach Manitoba…
I had the honor of shooting this gorgeous couples wedding a week later but we still managed to get together for an engagement session on a chilly evening just 5 days before the big day!!

Jaeme is the creator behind Kyds Lyds… She does amazing creative knitting as well as photography.
I get a lot of my hats and diaper covers for newborn sessions from her.. I am in love with her work

I travelled back to my home grounds a couple weeks ago to shoot a wedding. I also booked some family sessions and a beauty session..
This first family is a friendship that goes back many many many years to when we were both 7… Some things never change in friendship no matter how much time you spend apart when you get together it is
like yesterday!
We were faced with some adverse weather during our session so it was difficult at times… It was COLD… and with windgusts up to 80 km an hour it was a tad breezy lol…

Megan is a quiet girl that I got to know several years ago through an online photography board…. We connected with our passion for photography and with our children as well…
Through the years and through different changes in our lives I have come to realize that Megan is a true friend…. she is essentially my shoulder…. I think I call her nearly every day and when I don’t she says wheres my phone call lol…
This girl has listened to me laugh… cry… sob.. vent… and everything in between….thanks for being there….
